He wants us to be like him in doing well. Many people claims to be Christians but they do not have the habit of doing well. Doing well is an act of Christianity not a church. When you are looking at a church to find your own righteousness you are still far from the truth.
The duty of the church is to teach you the right thing and it is your duty to go out there to practice what you have learnt. You do not answer a Christian as a portfolio that you carries about with no one seeing the content. Christianity is in the acts, not in the heart and not in the church anyway. When you come to understand the meaning of Christianity to this level you will know how to be a Good Samaritan.
