The author means the founder of the ways of the salvation by grace through faith in the blood of Christ Jesus. It is not prophet John the Baptist that is the founder of the kingdom of heaven but Christ Jesus. The finisher of our faith means having used his blood on the cross shed to sign up a new covenant he will also come back to use his blood to wash away the sins of the people that were committed under the ten commandments and the other inherited sins even to the time of Adam and Eve, the lordship of Christ covers all the universes. The first resurrection which is called salvation by grace through faith in the blood of Christ Jesus is not for the dead people but for those that are alive. It is the homes that were married to Christ live that shall resurrect with him. The second resurrection comprises the living and the dead.
